I really would like to upgrade but I’d need to buy multiple large hard drives first in order to back up my existing data. If you can't find Installer app with a spotlight search (maybe it could have been replaced instead of deleted), then the best bet would be to find someone with also Mac OS X 10.4.11, and copy you the installer application from them. Click Install, then enter your user name and password to allow installation to proceed. If you have a Mac with Apple silicon, you might be asked to install Rosetta in order to open an app. I’m a network admin from the ‘if it ain’t broke’ school of thinking. Rosetta 2 enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for a Mac with an Intel processor. The thought of an upgrade gone bad is enough to keep me up at night. It’s not because I haven’t been intrigued by the new features or that I’m put off by the sticker price it’s purely because I currently have a fully functional OS. I’ve got a G5 powermac running panther and I’ve been very leery of upgrading to newer versions of OSX.
